A prosecutor said on Friday that his body had no traces of drugs or alcohol.<\/p>\n<p>Gladys Bourdain said her son had been cremated in France.<\/p>\n<p>She told the New York Times, where she previously worked as an editor, that Bourdain&#039;s ashes and belongings had been sent to his younger brother, Christopher.   <\/p>\n<p>A private family ceremony will probably follow in due course, she added, saying: &quot;He would want as little fuss as possible.&quot;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The global appeal of Anthony Bourdain<\/li>\n<li>When Bourdain and Obama ate a $6 meal<\/li>\n<li>Why US suicide rate is on the rise<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ms Bourdain told the paper she would visit her son&#039;s tattoo artist next week to get &quot;Tony&quot; inked on her inner wrist. <\/p>\n<p>The free-wheeling chef had several tattoos of his own, and got his first at the age of 44.<\/p>\n<p>In August 2017, he gave an interview to Maxim while getting a new inking - a stick-and-poke tattoo of a large chrysanthemum. <\/p>\n<p>He said his tattoos all &quot;mark a moment in time&quot;, explaining: &quot;I don&#039;t overly place importance on them, but they do commemorate in a way that photographs can&#039;t. It&#039;s filled with dents.
