{"id":139442,"date":"2018-06-11T10:01:06","date_gmt":"2018-06-11T10:01:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/freeonlinetranslators.net\/news\/english\/vince-vaughn-arrested-for-drink-driving\/"},"modified":"2018-06-11T10:01:06","modified_gmt":"2018-06-11T10:01:06","slug":"vince-vaughn-arrested-for-drink-driving","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/freeonlinetranslators.net\/news\/english\/vince-vaughn-arrested-for-drink-driving\/","title":{"rendered":"Vince Vaughn arrested for drink driving"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure>                                  <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Vince Vaughn\" src=\"https:\/\/ichef.bbci.co.uk\/news\/320\/cpsprodpb\/A2CC\/production\/_101967614_vaughnbars.jpg\"\/>Image copyright                  Manhattan Beach Police Dept<figcaption>Image caption                                      Manhattan Beach Police released this photograph of Vaughn following his arrest                              <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"caps\">Vince Vaughn has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving, police in the US have confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>The Hollywood star was stopped at a police checkpoint outside of Los Angeles in the early hours of Sunday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Vaughn and his passenger were also charged for public intoxication and resisting, delaying or obstructing officers.<\/p>\n<p>Both men were taken to the Manhattan Beach jail, and later released.<\/p>\n<p>The incident occurred between Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach, just south of LA International airport.<\/p>\n<p>Sgt Tim Zins, a spokesman for the Manhattan Beach Police Department, said the charges for resisting arrest were not to do with Vaughn &quot;fighting police officers, but more of delaying the investigation&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>The arrest occurred around 01:00 PST (09:00 BST) on Sunday and is Vaughn&#039;s first drink driving arrest.<\/p>\n<figure>                                                                                                       Image copyright                  Shutterstock<figcaption>Image caption                                      Vaughn played Peter La Fleur in 2004&#039;s Dodgeball                              <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The actor, best known for films including Dodgeball and Wedding Crashers, was previously arrested in 2001 following a bar brawl which saw fellow actor Steve Buscemi stabbed in the face, throat, and arm when he intervened in a fight between Vaughn, screenwriter Scott Rosenberg, and another man. <\/p>\n<p>Vaughn was arrested for assault following the incident, but the charges were later dropped.<\/p>\n<p>The 49-year-old actor&#039;s most recent film was Brawl in Cell Block 99 in which he played a former boxer.<\/p>\n<p>Follow us on Facebook, on Twitter @BBCNewsEnts, or on Instagram at bbcnewsents.
