{"id":139232,"date":"2018-06-10T22:14:55","date_gmt":"2018-06-10T22:14:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/freeonlinetranslators.net\/news\/english\/two-killed-in-monmouthshire-light-aircraft-accident\/"},"modified":"2018-06-10T22:14:55","modified_gmt":"2018-06-10T22:14:55","slug":"two-killed-in-monmouthshire-light-aircraft-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/freeonlinetranslators.net\/news\/english\/two-killed-in-monmouthshire-light-aircraft-accident\/","title":{"rendered":"Two killed in Monmouthshire light aircraft accident"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure>                                  <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Picture of the scene\" src=\"https:\/\/ichef.bbci.co.uk\/news\/320\/cpsprodpb\/33BE\/production\/_101964231_aircraftcloseup1.png\"\/>                      <\/figure>\n<p class=\"caps\">Two men have been killed in a light aircraft crash near Raglan, in Monmouthshire.<\/p>\n<p>Fire crews, two ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and a specialist rescue team were sent to the area at about 11:15 BST on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Gwent Police said two men were pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Their relatives have been informed and are being supported by family liaison officers. <\/p>\n<p>The Air Accident Investigation Branch is investigating the cause of the crash and have been at the scene for most of the day.<\/p>\n<p>One nearby resident described hearing the aircraft fly overhead.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;We were out in the garden and saw a light aircraft come over, which is normal round here,&quot; said Jan Cooke.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;It was sort of a glider-type aircraft.
